Apologies that I didn't get this posted last week! Here is 'A week in reverie' which this week will be my personal roundup of interesting links and news from the past fortnight!
- Last Saturday I headed with my parents and boyfriend to Glastonbury. No, not the festival but actually the town. Due to the many different spiritual links and beliefs about the place we always enjoy visiting and it makes for interesting shopping. We visited a peace garden and wandered around the town which is always great. One of the things I love is that the shops themselves are presented beautifully. One of my favourite places is a sheltered courtyard where there are statues, murals, candles and crystals set into the floor/walls of one of the passageways.
- One of the places we stumbled across in the courtyard was Star Child. If you're interested in natural products then perhaps this apothecary will be of interest! I am kicking myself for not buying some of their gorgeous bath oils in 'Energy' while I was there. They also have candles, pure essential oils, statues, and a range of herbal products. We spent so long in there just smelling all the gorgeous concoctions. Lovely stuff!
- Since my recent post about my shopping mantras showed exactly how stingey I am, I am proudly announcing that this week I'll be reviewing a 99p eyeshadow palette. Yes really, a 99p eyeshadow palette with some refreshingly strong pigmentation! While the palette consists of 5 shades (yellow, orange, bright red, cranberry and fuchsia) I've found them surprisingly wearable.
- I've been really enormously inspired this week by these two Biba makeup youtube videos by Lisa Eldridge. The looks are so ethereal and stunning and are pretty much the sole reason that I've been playing with red and orange eyeshadows at all! They've spurred me on to be a lot less lazy about my makeup, which is always a good thing.
- Finally, I am very grateful this week for awesome shop assistants! Firstly to the great lady in my local Superdrug who commiserated with me about my quest to find some local stockists of MUA pro. It's only a small branch so I always feel slightly guilty for asking after awkward things but she always has a sensible answer. Secondly, I am grateful for the lovely lady in the Body Shop who told me she liked my eye colour. I had my pale green GOSH shadows on that day if that's what she meant but either way, it perked up my rain dampened shopping trip no end!
- Also if you've got any suggestions for my upcoming youtube videos please let me know! Feel free to comment, follow me Twitter and ask away on Formspring!

Welcome to another installment of my weekly feature 'A week in reverie' which is my personal roundup of interesting links and news from the past 7 days!
- Hopefully after a few technical adjustments I might make my first youtube video this week! I thought that they would be a nice way to vary my posting and if all goes well my first one will be up soon. If anybody has anything they'd specifically like me to use as a topic I'm open to suggestions! I will of course continue writing here but I think the odd video thrown in could be fun.
- After seeing Hannah at Away with the fairies... post some gorgeous floral nails recently I was growing increasingly tempted to try some nail art. Now although my attempts at floral or galaxy nails weren't quite as successful as I'd have liked, I was still pretty impressed. After browsing through the 'nail art' tag on tumblr I was left full of ideas. Galaxy nails Christopher Kane stylee? A bit beyond my skill-level but astoundingly cool to look at. Now that my nails are finally of a decent length again you should start seeing them more!
- Due to my criminal roots, I redid my blonde this week and used 2 boxes of Garnier Belle Colour in their new updated 'Luminous' shade 'Ivory blonde.' One of the things I love about this shade is that it lifts my roots pretty nicely without the need for bleaching again as I am naturally a rather bland brunette. My past encounters with bleach have left my hair more frazzled than I care to admit! This week my hair was left a little damaged due probably to my sub-par clockwatching but I shall be deep conditioning my socks off to counteract this. Overall the tones in this shade manage to find a nice balance between a pale 'honey' and 'ashy' blonde without being left a vibrant yellow or too dark. I was left with what I consider to be artfully disguised roots and some pale highlights. Most pleased!
- Now I'm sure by now that most of you know I can't extend my budget to high-end products. However that doesn't stop me making big eyes at the gorgeous Dior powder reviewed here by Zoe. Doesn't it look absolutely lovely on her?
- Finally I can tell you that my giveaway ends today at midnight. If you haven't already entered there is still time so get your skates on and good luck!

Here is my third post of 'A week in Reverie' full of the things I've been loving, content I'm planning and blogs I've been reading this week!
- At the start of this week was my boyfriend Mike's birthday and that is where my most recent FOTD is from. I returned on Tuesday and then was busy again on Thursday getting ready for the Paul Smith party I won an invite to in his 'Optimistic' competition! Phew. Unfortunately I took no photos at the event but got an outfit shot for me and even one for Mike. All the details will crop up in a post soon.
- Next, I discovered I have won a Butterfly award from the lovely MagalufLady and the rules state that I have to post a random fact about myself and nominate some of my favourite bloggers! Well the random fact can be that I can play the piano quite well even though I haven't been practising properly for a while. And I nominate Glitter and Carousels, Forever Miss Vanity and Viva Adonis!
- MUA are releasing their professional range this week and take a look at The Student's Guide To Nail Polish for a post showing all of the new products! While I love the £1 range MUA have, I am intruiged to see how they have upped the ante with these new products! While the hike in price will put them in direct competition with brands like Collection 2000, Miss Sporty and 2true I'm still excited for it given that the quality of their cheaper products is already rather good! The blushers look great and I can seriously see myself snapping up one of those palettes. Check out MUA on facebook for their regular updates and details on which Superdrug stores will stock the new line.
- If you want to have a little more input into the content of this blog, why not have a quick look at the poll I have running which ends in just a few days. If you've got any other suggestions for post please leave a comment!
- And finally, I'd like to thank you all for helping me reach a grand total of 53 followers. I hit 50 in the week and was so excited but the fact that the number has risen since then makes me even happier! Every single comment is appreciated and to all my current followers don't forget that one comment over here will enter you into my Accessorize giveaway. It's just a little way for me to say thank you.

Welcome to the second installment of my weekly feature 'A week in reverie' which is my personal roundup of interesting links and news from the past 7 days!
- I got some exciting news this week when my photograph ended up in the top 50 in the Paul Smith Optimistic facebook competition! The prize was a pair of tickets to a special party in London next week and I'm over the moon to be going. Hopefully I'll be making a post about it after the event. Paul Smith is a brand that I've always found fascinating and ever so playful so I'm certain it'll be a fun experience!
- Next, I picked up my Superdrug beauty card instore this week when picking up my prize for my giveaway and although the general consensus is that it doesn't really compete with its competitors on generosity, I'm always in Superdrug so it will inevitably throw a few more perks into my sprees there.
- I'm a big fan of Katie's Beauty Blog and I'd advise anyone looking for an easy summery style for long hair to check out her speedy tutorial for Fishtail plaits. I'm pretty lazy with my hair but I managed to throw one of these together whilst waiting for a bus earlier this week!
- If you missed the #bbloggers chat last Sunday here is a quick overview by the organiser herself Makeup Savvy. I discovered some really wonderful blogs and bloggers through the chat and if you can join in from 8-9pm this Sunday that post also outlines the topics that should be covered this week!
- And finally, I'm sure I'll be running around like a headless chicken tomorrow as it's the boyfriend's birthday on Monday and I've still got a few things to pick up. Wish me luck everybody!

Welcome to my new Sunday feature 'A week in Reverie' full of the things I've been loving, content I'm planning and blogs I've been reading this week!
- Now to kick this feature off I can proudly announce that I'm planning my first giveaway already! I recently discovered that the Accessorize products I've been raving about aren't available in Ireland. So once I've got 25 followers, I'm going to get my hands on another set so that one of my lovely followers can enjoy them as much as I do. I'm really grateful for all the support I've gotten so quickly!
- Next, I've discovered the lovely blog from House of Humble. If you love crafts, recipes and gorgeous photography as much as I do, you should check out this wonderful blog from Katie and Reuben.
- Azerbaijan may have won Eurovision 2011 but I thought Switzerland were absolutely lovely. Apparently she was discovered busking?
- Although I've spent most of my Sunday sneezing and the weather this week has been questionable to say the least, I should have my summery makeup looks up soon!
